Guerra Colonial's gender policy recommends that authors use inclusive and non-sexist language in their articles. In this sense, the use of gender-inclusive terms is preferable. For example, the use of person instead of man or woman.

Regarding gender analysis in research, authors should indicate whether gender has been considered in the design and development of the research in the research hypothesis, in the methodological design, in the design of the data collection instruments and in the data analysis in order to allow the identification of possible differences and/or to avoid biases.

It will also be ensured that female authors are included in the bibliography, with the full names of the researchers.
